Mohamed Seliem and Kuros Zanbouri, researchers from the School of Computer Science and Information Technology at University College Cork, Ireland, visited ivESK to present their current research contributions related to TSN and 5G integration using OMNeT++.

Mohamed's talk, titled "5G-LAN for Industrial IoT: Challenges, Solutions, and Future Directions," included a case study on large-scale manufacturing deployments across various industrial layouts and explored potential extensions with wireless technologies such as 5G and Wi-Fi.

Kuros showcased the findings from his recent publication, "Comparative Performance Evaluation of 5G-TSN Applications in Indoor Factory Environments," and highlighted a new scheduling approach that supports URLCC features with heterogeneous traffic in 5G industrial environments.

Professor Benoît Hilt from Université de Haute-Alsace and ivESK staff also participated in the discussions.
