During the research project, the ivESK has together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS) in Nuremberg conceptualized, implemented and validated "processes and communication protocols for a security lifecycle management in industrial fieldbus devices and systems" over the last two years. The hybrid meeting was attended by the members of the project committee. The project was supervised by the German Research Association for Automation and Microelectronics (DFAM) and funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) as an Industrial Joint Research project. The results of the project are part of ongoing standardization in the Profibus User Organization (PNO) and with CAN in Automation (CiA). In addition, several other projects have already been launched in recent months to further develop the results and bring them to implementation.
