Modular protocol stacks are on the rise

LoRaWAN Live, which took place from June 17-20, 2024 in Munich, focuses on the further development of the ecosystem and the technologies surrounding LoRaWAN. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Sikora from Offenburg University of Applied Sciences gave a presentation on "OMS over LPWAN: Modular, Interoperable, Future-Proof" in his function as a member of the board of the OMS-Group e.V. In his presentation, he explained the trend towards making monolithic protocols increasingly modular and expandable in the future. OMS over LPWAN is a typical and successful example of this.
