Three professors and five students are visiting the ivESK at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences for a research stay and lab activities .

As part of the DAAD-funded project "ERTISSS: Expanded Research, Development & Teaching on Internet of Things for Sustainable, Secure, and Safe Communities", three professors and five students from the College of Information Engineering (COIE) at Al-Nahrain University, Iraq, are visiting the ivESK at Offenburg University for a research stay and lab activities. The delegation includes Prof. Dr. Hikmat Najem, Dean of COIE, Prof. Dr. Emad Al-Hemairy DAAD program coordinator, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Falih, Head of the Cybersecurity Department.

During the visit, Prof. Dr. Emad presented Al-Nahrain University and COIE, highlighting its academic structure and national and international collaborations. The team participated in several meetings with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Sikora for Ph.D. student co-supervision and engaged in discussions regarding the establishment of a German-Iraqi research unit at the COIE, aimed at fostering long-term cooperation between the two universities. Additionally, plans for future hackathon activities were discussed, focusing on cybersecurity and IoT innovation.

The delegation also visited various international departments at Offenburg University. This third-year project with COIE is funded by the DAAD through the Federal Foreign Office's "Ta'ziz Partnership" program under the "Ta'ziz Short-Term Measures" initiative.
