Association of Prof. Sikora with the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Fribourg extended by five years

In a letter dated April 10, 2025, the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Freiburg extended Prof. Sikora's association for five years.

As an associated university lecturer, Prof. Dr. Axel Sikora is on an equal footing with professors at the University in doctoral procedures and continues to be entitled to supervise doctoral theses as the first examiner.

This extension is based on the successful defense of three doctoral theses in this procedure. The association simplifies the operational supervision of the eight doctoral students currently supervised by Professor Sikora and the acquisition of new employees for the further expansion of the Institute for Reliable Embedded Systems and Communication Electronics (ivESK), which he heads at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences.
